The first seven branch locations will be equipped in the next few months with the further rollout (a total of 50 branches) fully equipped before the end of 2008. The 2 Million Swiss Franc (CHF) contract includes the ability for ZKB to utilize Incite Media's proprietary DigitalSignageHub software. After sales support for the project will be provided by Fujitsu Services.

The concept behind the flat panel public displays will be to show information in close proximity to the customer and create a more personalized experience. Furthermore, it is envisaged the screens shall facilitate the banks centralization of marketing and sales campaigns by ensuring consistent advertising messages within its branches.

Primed for the future

The public displays are vitalizing the customer zones and shall be part of the corporate appearance of the Zurich Kantonalbank", comments Aldo Hitz, responsible for communication private customers of ZKB. The displays are primarily regarded as an additional communication channel from the bank to the customer.  

It is expected the public displays will help reduce the waiting times within the customer and self service areas. Instead of a nervous flickering of the displays, ZKB customers shall be entertained with emotional advertising spots and be supplied with useful product information.  

The public displays will be extremely eye catching for customers entering into ZKB branches. Screen programming will provide interesting and informative information to customers including animations, video-sequences, pictures, news blocks and text tickers. With Incite Media's DigitalSignageHub software screen programming can be individually tailored and displayed according to a number of possibilities, i.e. day of the week, time of the day, position of the display and region in which it exists.
